This job fair is part of an ongoing effort to prepare the New Haven workforce for jobs in the new economy and connect employers with residents of all skill levels. It is an opportunity for the community to come together in a meaningful way during this uncertain economy.

The Board of Education, with School Change and New Haven Promise, is preparing students for higher education and deeper skill sets. In partnership with Gateway Community College, a new vocation/trade school concept is being explored. Also, residents are being trained in the various building trades and assisting small contractors in the construction industry.

New ways to fully prepare the residents of New Haven for job opportunities are welcomed!
